Personal Consumption Behavior in the US--Chao how to choose food







1. Looks like good or bad. (Packing)






2. What is the brand? I never buy not famous brand.



3. Quality, have to looks good quality and fresh.
4. Food color, if the food has lots of pigment, then I will not choose it.
5. Other customers review, if other customers tell me that the food taste is good. I always want to try it.

6. I like new products, such as new food, packing, taste and special limited edition packaging.




Macro environmental influences

If most consumers don’t like the food brand, then I will never buy it.
If the food company has bad social effect, then I will never buy it.
If a food company makes unsafe food, I will never choose it again. Such as use some illegal food additive.
If a food brand has real good social responsibility, I will choose the company’s food.
If a food brand has an influential prolocutor, then I choose it.







My attitudes regarding food develop

I like the food technology developing, but it is not mean that I like farm and transgene food. I will eat and not revolt the farm and transgene food; but I like the original and wild food better. And I still like the traditional food cooking ways.




What is the role of marketing mix variables in your decision-making process?

The product and price are two roles of marketing mix variables in my decision-making process.
I real care about product style, color and design. Before I make decision, I will think about the three things first.
Also, I care about the price, if the price is too crazy and I will not buy the product.
